ICYMI: Sununu Reminded Voters He’ll Work For Corporate Special Interests, Not New Hampshire

In Case You Missed It, on WMUR’s CloseUp, John Sununu showed he’s focused on doing what’s best for corporate special interests, not Granite Staters.

When asked about his efforts to privatize Social Security while in office, Sununu defended his 2005 bill that would’ve boosted Wall Street’s profits while letting Granite Staters’ retirement savings be affected by stock market swings and crashes.

Sununu — whose candidacy is being propped up by tens of millions of dollars from Super PACs aligned with Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the Koch Network — also had no suggestions for how to get outside money out of politics, saying, “I'm certainly not going to fix the system in the last 10 days of a campaign.” At a recent event, Sununu opposed “overturning or changing” the Citizens United ruling that enables corporations and the super rich to spend unlimited amounts of money to influence elections.
